Cleanliness is next to godliness which means being clean is a sign of spiritual purity or goodness. A person living in clean surroundings can keep himself physically and mentally healthy. It’s not about being physically clean, it is also very important to keep our home and environment clean too. Like food, water, oxygen, shelter and other things are essential for our lives, so is hygiene also important for a healthy life.

A clean person is always remain healthy and healthy mind develops in a healthy body only. In a same way a clean house or place always get filled with positive energies. Each parent should talk about the benefits, objectives, and needs of cleanliness with their children and should also teach them to follow the rules of sanitation since childhood. They have to teach them that cleanliness is equally important like food and water in our lives.

Cleanliness is not a habit adopted under a compulsion, it should be a way of living our lives. All types of hygiene is important for good health. We all should be aware of maintaining cleanliness in our daily life. Daily bathing, brushing teeth, washing hands before and after eating, wearing clean clothes are some rules for your physical cleanliness, thus mowing the broom daily in the house, cooking in clean pots, always putting garbage in the trash, Do not defecate in the open etc. are necessary to keep the atmosphere clean.

Our government has also launched India’s largest campaign called Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on October 2, 2014 to promote cleanliness and sanitation in the country, in which 3 million government employees, students and responsible citizens of India actively participated. Keeping the country clean is not just the duty of the government but it is the responsibility of every Indian to keep its country and surroundings clean and healthy.
